Terms of Use

Last updated 2026

These terms govern your use of the inkhour app. By downloading or using inkhour, you agree to them.

The licence

inkhour grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in line with Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to inkhour except where these terms add to it. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app.

Free trial

inkhour includes a 3-day free trial that begins when you finish setting up the app. During the trial the app is fully usable at no cost. When the trial ends, continued use requires a purchase.

Purchases and subscriptions

inkhour offers two ways to keep using the app after the trial:

Monthly — an auto-renewing subscription billed at the price shown in the app (currently $3 per month). It renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID is charged at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.

Lifetime — a single one-time purchase (currently $20) that unlocks the app permanently on your Apple ID. It does not auto-renew.

You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Payments, refunds, and billing are handled by Apple under the terms of the App Store; inkhour cannot issue refunds directly. Prices may change; any change will be shown before it takes effect.

What inkhour is

inkhour is a tool that helps you set aside time to read by shielding other apps during an hour you choose. It is not a guarantee of any particular result, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement about how you use your device. You remain in control of your phone at all times and can end a session or change your schedule.

No warranty

inkhour is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will block every app in every circumstance.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of inkhour is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

Apple

This agreement is between you and the developer of inkhour, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Any maintenance, support, or product warranty is the developer's responsibility, not Apple's, to the extent any applies.

Changes

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
